Why this statement?

We are responsible for protecting your personal data to the best of our ability. In doing so, we must comply with the requirements of the provacy regulations. Among other things, we want to be transparent about the types of data we process, the purpose for processing, with whom we share data and what rights you have regarding your own data. We process (potentially) the following personal data about you:

• contact details, such as name, address, place of residence, telephone number, and email address;
• Age, gender, marital status;
• Data relating to passport, driving license or other proof of identity (sometimes we ask for a copy of proof of identity);
• Data on employment, income, profession and employer;
• Data on financial situation, assets, and any debts;
• Data on current financial products, such as bank accounts or insurance policies;
• Special personal data, e.g. health (in some cases);
• Data on any criminal offences, fraud aspects (if relevant);
• data submitted claims/claims history;
• (other data)

When we process health or criminal data, we do so with extreme care, and usually only with your consent.

2. Porposes of data processing

We process your personal data for the purposes of the following activities in our business, among others:

• Assessing and accepting potential customers;
• Managing (or having managed) our relationship with (potential) customers and visitors;
• Managing and expanding our customer base;
• Concluding and executing agreements;
• Performing analyses of personal data for statistical purposes and archive purposes;
• Performing (targeted) marketing and promotional activities to establish, maintain or expand a relationship with a (potential) customer;
• Complying with legal obligations
• Sending newsletters or information of a specific nature.

3. Legal grounds for processing data

We use at least one of the following grounds for processing your personal data:

• Performing an agreement for a financial product or service;
• To be able to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on us, e.g. complying with our legal duty of care during the term of financial product created through our mediation or complying with legal data retention periods;
• The explicit permission you have given to process data for specific purposes. You can withdraw this consent at any time;
• For the protection of our legitimate interests within the framework of our business operations or those of a third party. Our interests include the careful execution of agreements with you, maintaining and possibly expanding our customer relationship via direct marketing and/or profiling aimed at marketing. 

4. Storage and retention period of personal data

We store your personal data only for as long and to the extent we need it. In any case, we keep data that we necessarily need for the duration of our relationship agreement.

If our relationship or agreement ends then we will retain the data for the statutoty retention periods applicable to us.

5. Information, amendment and objection

Please not that we may not be able to accomodate a request in all cases. If this is the case, we will let you know with reasons.

6. Security of your data

We have taken adequate technical and organisational measures to secure your personal data.

7. Provisions of data to third parties

We do not simply disclose your personal data to others. However, we may do so if you have given us permission to do so, if we are required to do so by law or court order, or if such disclosure serves our purposes of processing personal data.

For the purposes of conducting our business and depending on the services provided to you, we may well provide your personal data to the folowing persons or parties:

• Financial institutions (such as banks or insurers) with whom we apply for a financial product for you or with whom you have a financial product that we manage for you, or where we accompany you during the term of the product;
• Persons and bodies who need to be informed by virtue of a legal obligation;
• External parties processing data under our control and responsibility, such as ICT service providers or our (direct) marketing agency;
• Claims-experts, anti-fraud databases such as Fish and Cis
• Notaries, lawyers, accounts (where appropriat)

External parties who process personal data under our responsibility only do so for purposes and under conditions we have agreed with them. We record this in written agreements.

We may amend this Privacy Statement in the future. You will always find the most up-to-date statement on our website. 

9. Cookies

Blue Risk uses tracking cookies and Google Analytics. the tracking cookies are used to track visitor statistics on the use of our website. They do not collect directly identifiable information, such as your name or your e-mail address. If you do not appreciate these cookies, you can set your browser settings to refuse cookies. However, this may result in (parts of) our website no longer working properly.
